Bryan is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of K12 Accounting. Before founding K12 Accounting, Bryan served as a Senior Manager at a local public accounting firm where he specialized in conducting external audits of governmental entities in compliance with Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards, Uniform Grant Guidance, U.S. General Accounting Office Government Auditing Standards, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Amber Hillis, CPA
Amber is a Business Manager for K12 Accounting and resides with her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Amber attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a bachelor’s in Accounting. Amber is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New Mexico.
Amber has experience as an internal auditor of a publicly traded company and external auditor with a focus on governmental, tribes, charter schools, and benefits plans. Amber was also the Controller of a multimillion-dollar healthcare business where she advanced her knowledge and love for financial reporting, budgets, forecast, contract compliance, contract negotiation and the development of process and procedures.
Amber’s knowledge includes banking activities, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, internal controls, implementation of reporting and billing systems, ad-hoc reporting, various special analyses, project management and human resources.
Senior Business Manager
Katie is a Senior Business Manager with K12 Accounting and resides with her family in Cedar Crest, New Mexico. Katie attended the University of New Mexico and graduated summa cum laude with both a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration and a Master’s in Accounting with a Tax Concentration. Katie is a licensed New Mexico School Business Official.
Katie has over fourteen years of experience working in governmental accounting. Prior to working with New Mexico Public Schools, Katie spent ten years working with the United States Air Force (USAF) in the Finance and Accounting Department while on active duty. During her tenure with the USAF, Katie provided mentorship and training support to incoming personnel and continues to serve in a mentorship role with K12 Accounting.
Katie’s expertise includes policy formation, payroll, in-depth payroll liability reconciliations, financial analysis, federal grant management and requests for reimbursements, project management and employee/client communication and training. Katie specializes in charter schools authorized by the Public Education Department, including financial performance framework and charter school renewal application budget analysis.
Anna is an Assistant Business Manager/Accountant with K12 Accounting. She lives with her family in Albuquerque, NM. Anna graduated from the University of New Mexico with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Currently Anna is working toward her Master’s in Information Assurance at the University of New Mexico. Anna is a licensed New Mexico School Business Official.
Director of Operations
Jolene is the Director of Operations for K12 Accounting and takes residency with her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jolene holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New Mexico Highlands University and is a member of the New Mexico Association of School Business Officials. Jolene is a licensed New Mexico School Business Official and a licensed Chief Procurement Officer for the state of New Mexico.
Jolene has twenty-two years of experience working in the public-school system – fifteen of those years have involved oversight of school business offices. Jolene has managed school district business offices with budgets in excess of thirty-three million dollars, managed a software support team for school financial software, and has extensive experience running and managing operations for public school business office management companies.
Jolene’s expertise includes developing and implementing strong internal control and procedures for financial reporting and safeguarding of assets, knowledge and execution of reporting requirements for state, local, and federal entities, payroll, human resources, financial reporting, training, project and team management, maintaining the general ledger to provide accurate financial statement for analytical and reporting purposes, and software implementation and support.

Renata is an Assistant Business Manager with K12 Accounting. Renata and her husband relocated to Albuquerque, NM after residing in Raleigh, NC for 22 years. Renata has 23 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. She specializes in daily business accounting practices, budget management and human resources. She is an avid volleyball player and shares her passion through coaching junior players in the area.
Francisco is a Business Manager for K12 Accounting and resides with his family in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Francisco attended the University of New Mexico and graduated with his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration.
